Kids CrusadeOK... OK... I know it has been awhile since I've written. I have no excuse!
I do want to tell you all that I am having a great time getting things ready to blast off for the kids crusade. You
just have to join Simon and the gang as we search the galaxy for the truth. Simon gets a little carried away on the mission.
So don't miss out. November 9 - 11 at 6:00 sharp. See you then..... PB

Miss or should I say... Mrs. Melissa gets married!!! Look who is married!! Melissa is now Mrs. Randall Hurley. You can still call her Miss Melissa. I don't
want to confuse you all. Anyway, the wedding was BEAUTIFUL and the reception had really good food. (I had my cake
and a piece of Matthew's too) She is going to take a bit of time off from Kid Zone so she can get settled
in their new home. Check out the picture of the bride and groom!! Don't they look good together?
We love you two and pray God's blessings on you both!

Litght of the WorldHey kids... did you know one of the greatest discoveries in modern
science was electricity. Just think if it weren’t for electricity, you wouldn’t be reading
this on your computer. Right along electricity was the light bulb. Before the light
bulb we used candles. Whew! You would have to have played your Game Cube by candle light.
Well, just as the light bulb helps us to see at night, Jesus came as a light to the world. He came
to overcome the darkness of sin. Jesus lets us see the way clearly. Many people stumble
through life just like you and I stumble in a dark closet looking for a pair of shoes. Stay close to Jesus
and let him light your way and while you’re at it, share a little light with someone else.

GOD'S PROTECTIONHow many of you have ever been afraid? I know
I have. Sometimes after we have been frightened, we discover there was nothing to be frightened about after
all. Other times there was more danger than we realized. No matter what the case,
we have all been frightened at some time. We can learn from the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.
That’s kind of funny names for three boys!! They did learn an important lesson, a
lesson that God will protect in times of danger. Did you know that God can also protect us from the devil’s
temptations? God’s power acts like a shield, protecting us from the devil. Just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, learned at a young age, we know
that God will protect us if we just call on His Name.

Always and ForeverI want you to think back in time. I’m
saying way back. Like before your great, great, great, great grandparents. Back before the Romans and even
before Adam and Eve. Think back before the creation of the sun and the moon. All the
way to the beginning of time. We don’t have a lot of answers about the beginning of time, but we
do know this: there was God! John 1:1 says, “In the beginning, there was God”.
That’s because God is eternal. WOW! There is more. John
says that Jesus was God, and through Jesus, God stepped down and lived on earth as a human. When Jesus
died, he was buried and then rose again after three days. Jesus will live forever and the good news is
we can too, if we follow Him. We will live forever with God. That’s the wonderful
gift that our eternal God offers us all.

Just Chillin'Hey kids.... hope you all had a great time
this past Sunday. If we keep growing, we will need a bigger room. As you all go into this week at school, be sure
to remember the lessons we have been teaching on "The Game of Life." We have to make sure we live everyday
looking for some way for others to see Christ in us. Maybe by your actions, your words or the way we respect others.
Remember, others are looking at what we say and do as Christians.
See you all on Sunday........ PB

Last SundayGood morning KZ Kids,
I am sitting here enjoying a beautiful morning.
Birds singing, slightly cool outside.... just plain good stuff. And you know what, God made it all for you and me. Did
we have a good time this past Sunday or what?!? I mean Kid Zone was packed. We even had to bring in extra chairs.
Good to see you kids that visited with us like Zach, Elizabeth, Kaytlin, Aaron and Samantha. Hope I spelled all the
names correctly. If not..... please let me know. We even had a family join us all the way from Slovenia (that's
in Europe, you know). Sarah, Savannah and Emily, great to have you! They joined us via satellite.
Hey, don't forget this Sunday is game day. We are going to take about 20 minutes to play some of your favorite
board games. So, if you have one, bring it. Sorry ..... no Gameboys or video games this time. We will have
a special occasion to play those in the future.
OK.... gotta' go get ready for work.
See
you Sunday (and maybe Wednesday, too)

Savannah's SurgeryHey KZ Kids.... I know you all want to know how our Savannah is doing after her surgery.
Well, I talked to her Daddy and she went through just fine. A little sick, but ok. She won't be with us on
Sunday soooo we all need to make sure we pray for her. Might be cool if you all send her a word by signing Savannah's
guest book located on the "Write to PB" tab. Check out the picture below of Savannah and her Mommy and Daddy.

Fund Raiser at Mutts Hey kids.... listen up! We have a great fund raiser coming up to help pay for this year's Kids Crusade.
On Monday, September 17 from 5p.m. to 8p.m., we are needing some adult volunteers to help bus tables at Mutts Restaurant
in Greer. Here's the good part! All the tips we get goes to us and..... 10% of all the restaurant sales for
the evening goes to us as well. Good stuff huh?? Anyway, ask your mom and dad if they could help out that night.
Have them call Brother Brett (alias BB) or myself for details. You know what? If they can't help out,
at least you could all come eat that night and give us a BIG TIP.

Sunday RecapI don't know about you guys, but I had a great time at church today. It
was so cool to see all the adults singing our songs in "Big Church". They even had the right moves.
Then the time spent talking with our missionary family from Slovenia was awesome. Oh yeah.... did you like the Slovenian
food Brother Brett mad up for us. Kayla said yuk!
Hey..... thanks for praying for Savannah.
Your prayers go along way in helping someone. God hears the prayers of a child, and you all lifted your voices together.
See you all at the picnic on Labor Day.
Blessings,

Kickin' Out and Promotion RecognitionHey.... did I mention we had a celebration this past Sunday? Well, I guess
you could call it a celebration. We had two upstanding (that means good) young people get old enough to join "BIG"
church. So..... we gave them a Kicken Out Party. Congratulations to Allison and Harrison in their promotion.
You guys will surely be missed in Kid Zone, but hey.... you are just next door to us. We'll be sure to
invite you back from time-to-time.
Blessings to you both...... PB

Back to School Bash Splash SundayWOW....! What an awesome time we had at our "wet" service.
We started out with a guest missionary from Africa followed by some great singing from our own Kid Zone kids. We even
had a praise report from our very own Savanna. Her doctor told her that she needed to go to the hospital for some special
care. People started to pray. When she got to the hospital, they could not find anything wrong. Praise God!
She was healed.
We ended the day with fun in the sun and water games. Connect again soon to see pictures
from our Splash Sunday event.

August 19 Lesson - Blind BartimaeusDon't ever stop doing the best you can. A dear lady once said "you
have to keep on keeping on". There is alot of truth to that. Don't give up on what is important to you.
Just like Blind Bartimaeus.... if he had listened to his friends, he might have never gotten his sight. He pressed in
to get close to Jesus and was healed. Don't give up kids and remember to "keep on keeping on".
